13% decline in remittances, April outlook report released

In the financial year 2022-23 July to April, the volume of remittances was 22 billion 700 million dollars. 

The Ministry of Finance has released the outlook report for April, according to the report, a 13% decrease in remittances was recorded. 

In the same period last financial year, the volume of remittances was 26 billion 1 million dollars. 

A 13.6 percent decrease in exports was recorded from July to April of this financial year, while the volume of exports was 23.2 billion dollars. 

In the current financial year, July-April imports decreased by 23% while the volume was 45.2 billion dollars. 

In the first 8 months of this fiscal year current account deficit decreased by 76.1%, the volume of current account deficit was recorded at 3.3 billion dollars. 

Foreign direct investment decreased by 23.2%, foreign direct investment was 1 billion 1 billion dollars.
