The head of PTI, Imran Khan, has submitted a bail request in a corruption case involving 190 million pounds.
This plea, presented by Imran Khan’s legal representatives—Latif Khosa, Intarz Panjotha, and Ali Ejaz—was lodged in the Accountability Court Islamabad. Judge Muhammad Bashir has issued notices, summoning Chairman NAB and Director General NAB as involved parties in this bail application.
The petition highlights Imran Khan’s prior role as Prime Minister and his renowned status as a cricketer. It asserts that political motives are tarnishing the reputation of the PTI Chairman. The plea urges the court to grant post-arrest bail until a verdict is reached concerning the £190 million scam case.
Upon the accountability court’s issuance of notices, NAB prosecutor Sohail Arif received the notification within the courtroom. The court has adjourned the hearing, scheduling the next session for December 4.
