Lahore: NDMA has issued an alert on the forecast of possible heavy rains across the country from July 22 to 26.
According to Express News, there is a fear of urban flooding in the low-lying areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Lahore, while landslides are expected in the hilly areas of Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to torrential rains.
There is a risk of flooding in Dera Ghazi Khan and adjoining hilly areas of northeastern Balochistan on July 22 and 23.
Heavy rains may inundate low-lying areas of Karachi and Hyderabad during July 22-24. The NDMA has asked farmers to do their farming keeping in view the weather forecast, tourists and travelers to be extra careful to avoid any untoward situation during the rainy season.
