The Election Commission of Pakistan has designated 50% of polling stations nationwide as either sensitive or highly sensitive.
Out of a total of 90,675 polling stations across the country, 46,065 have been classified as such. In Punjab, 12,580 polling stations are sensitive, and 6,040 are highly sensitive, with 32,324 considered normal. Sindh has 6,545 sensitive, 6,524 highly sensitive, and 5,937 normal polling stations.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 6,166 sensitive, 4,143 highly sensitive, and 5,388 normal polling stations. In Balochistan, out of 5,028 polling stations, 961 are normal, 2,337 are sensitive, and 1,730 are highly sensitive. The Election Commission has commenced the secure delivery of ballot papers and election materials to remote districts with the assistance of the Pakistan Army.
The delivery to remote areas is expected to be completed by February 5, while Rawalpindi, Attock, and Islamabad will be completed by February 6. On February 7, returning officers and presiding officers will receive the ballot papers and election materials.
