At least 60 people were killed in Israeli strikes on eastern Lebanon on Tuesday, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.
Officials say it is the highest number of deaths in a single day since Israel’s ground offensive on Lebanon began.
It should be remembered that the Israeli army has been attacking the Lebanese territory since last month, during which around 2500 Lebanese have been martyred.
Lebanese state media reported that Israeli army tanks had penetrated to within 6 kilometers of southern Lebanon, while Israeli forces said 50 rockets had been fired at Israel from Lebanon.
