In Lahore, the charges of sedition have been included in the case documents for all the accused individuals, including the Chairman PTI, in the incidents that occurred on May 9. SSP Investigation Anush Masood confirmed that Section 120B of the law has been applied to all cases, including the primary one related to the May 9 events.
Furthermore, the police have stated that even though the Chairman PTI was not physically present at the scene of the incident, there is evidence suggesting his involvement in incitement and the planning of a rebellion.
The police explained that in response to objections raised during the prosecution process, the charges of sedition were incorporated into the case documents. As a result, all objections raised by the prosecution have been addressed prior to the submission of the case documents. The final submission of the case documents will occur once the agencies’ reports are received.
