In Islamabad, the Election Commission has rendered its verdict on the matter concerning Nawaz Sharif’s candidacy in National Assembly Constituency NA-15 Mansehra. The request put forth by Nawaz Sharif’s legal representative for a re-vote in Mansehra has been dismissed.
The Election Commission declined the plea from PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer for a re-polling in Mansehra, directing instead that the petitioner may pursue their case through the Election Tribunal. Additionally, the Returning Officer (RO) has been instructed to finalize the results within three days.
The decision to deny the petition for re-election was articulated by Sindh Election Commission member Nisar Durrani.
It’s worth noting that the hearing on the NA-15 election dispute occurred recently, during which Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer advocated for a re-vote in the constituency. Following arguments from both sides, the Election Commission deliberated on the matter and ultimately made its decision.
