
Sikh demonstrators gathered outside the Indian Embassy in Washington to protest against the treatment of farmers in India.
They chanted slogans against Prime Minister Modi and circled the embassy premises. The protesters also placed the Khalistan flag on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, expressing the desire for Punjab’s independence from India.
Dr. Bakshish Sindhu, a leader of the Sikh for Justice group, highlighted the violence against farmers in India, including shootings and the use of tear gas from drones, in a media interview.
