In Peshawar, Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur has unveiled a budget totaling one trillion 59 billion rupees for the month of March.
As reported, Secretary Finance Amr Tareen has stated that the advance approval grants for March will be sought in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session, amounting to 5.195 billion rupees.
The Finance Secretary added that upon the formation of the provincial cabinet, approval will be sought for the full budget of the current year, including the eight months under the caretaker government, along with the budget for the next three months.
Meanwhile, opposition member Ahmed Karim Kundi has criticized the move, arguing that presenting the budget without a fully formed government violates the constitution. Kundi emphasized the importance of adhering to Rule 150 and urged against unconstitutional actions, stressing that the government comprises more than just the Chief Minister and should include at least two members as per the Rules of Business.
