In Islamabad, Former Federal Minister Faisal Vawda emphasized that morally, parties like PML-N and PPP should refrain from taking the reserved seats of the Sunni Ittehad Council to avoid potential future legal complications.
Vawda expressed these views during a private TV program, highlighting that the allocation of specific seats to the Sunni Unity Council was a legal matter, and these parties did not submit the required list for consideration.
He criticized the government’s handling of the situation, indicating that it was evident they wouldn’t secure the seats. Vawda also criticized Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s leadership, particularly in addressing the challenges faced by the people in Gwadar. Regarding his departure from Imran Khan’s party, Vawda acknowledged Khan’s role as a political mentor but cited principled differences for his decision to leave. He expressed regret that his concerns were not addressed within the party, leading to the current circumstances.
