
Peshawar: Chief Minister KP, Ali Amin Gandapur, has made the decision to solarize religious schools.
As per reports, a meeting was convened at the Chief Minister’s House, chaired by Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, with the Department of Energy and Power.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister resolved to incorporate religious madrasas into the existing solarization project for mosques and places of worship. He instructed relevant authorities to take necessary measures to integrate religious madrasas in Arzali and neighboring districts into the solarization initiative.
Emphasizing on inclusivity, the Chief Minister insisted on involving 1,000 to 1,500 registered religious madrasas from across the province in the project, ensuring representation from all districts. It was stressed that madrasas should be equipped with solar energy facilities.
Officials provided updates on the department’s developmental plans, administrative and financial matters, and other pertinent issues. The Chief Minister urged swift action in appointing the chief executive officer and members of the executive committee for Gakka Pedu.
Furthermore, he underscored the importance of timely completion of ongoing hydropower projects, proposing penalties for contractors failing to meet deadlines. Prioritization of development projects was encouraged, with an emphasis on expediting those contributing to revenue generation.
