The Federal Interior Minister has instructed the IG Islamabad to expedite the operation against foreigners staying illegally.
Following a meeting with journalists, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi informally mentioned that data on illegal foreign residents already exists in the capital, urging the IG Islamabad to take action. He also noted that a three-month extension has been granted to foreigners with cards, after which they must leave. Concerns about the security of Chinese nationals are being addressed through collaborative planning.
Supreme Court orders prohibit the issuance of arms licenses. He mentioned the need for additional time regarding Twitter-related matters. Naqvi pledged to improve police stations in Islamabad within three months and prioritize addressing the city’s traffic issues.
He emphasized the importance of privacy and professionalism in law enforcement, denying any orders to mistreat women in their homes during his tenure. Efforts to establish the National Forensic Lab in Islamabad have commenced after delays. Naqvi assured that the Necta system will be fully operational and acknowledged delays in passport issuance, pledging to rectify the situation.
