The People’s Joint Action Committee in Azad Kashmir has declared the conclusion of the protest after agreeing to the stipulated demands. The leaders of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Action Committee issued a statement, formally ending the ongoing long march, strike, and protest in Azad Kashmir. They lauded the peaceful movement undertaken by the citizens of Azad Kashmir, marking it as a historic long march.
The declaration highlighted that as a result of the long march, the government has reduced the prices of flour and electricity, and has initiated the formation of a judicial commission to address the privileges of the ruling elite. The Kashmiri people were congratulated for their successful struggle.
Furthermore, it was announced that all individuals detained during the protest will be released, and related cases will be closed. Consequently, the committee has lifted the lockdown and wheel jam strike, although shutter closure will persist.
