The PTI leadership has decided to present the issue of a joint protest movement with JUI to Imran Khan for final approval. Once approved, a joint empowered committee from both parties will be formed.
According to News, this development follows a meeting between a Tehreek-e-Insaf delegation and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Sources within Tehreek-e-Insaf reported that during the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman requested security guarantees from the founder chairman for negotiations. He also proposed launching a new movement from a new platform. It was agreed in the meeting to consult with the founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf regarding talks with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Per Tehreek-e-Insaf sources, there were discussions about establishing a PTI-empowered committee to facilitate the negotiation process for the protest movement.
Sources also indicated that another meeting with the JUI chief is scheduled for next week, and significant discussions took place last night regarding the re-launch of the protest movement.
