In compliance with a court order in Saudi Arabia, two citizens from Bahrain were executed for planning terrorist attacks.
According to Saudi media, the two persons who were beheaded include Jafar Muhammad Sultan and Sadiq Majeed, who were dangerous operatives of a terrorist organization and were involved in a conspiracy against the kingdom.
The two youths were detained on May 8, 2015 and tried in a special criminal court where the death penalty was awarded in January 2022 based on strong evidence.
Later, the Supreme Court of the country also confirmed this decision. The statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the terrorist group of these operatives had conspired to destabilize Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and had received training for attacks in both countries, including the smuggling and stockpiling of dangerous weapons.
