
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the Asia Cup, the matches will be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka under the hybrid model.
According to media reports, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Shah and Secretary of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) KJ Shah have accepted the proposal of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) proposed hybrid model, Asia Cup from August 31 to 17.
It will be in Pakistan and Sri Lanka by September. Teams from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal along with Pakistan will participate in the event.
There will be a total of 13 matches in the tournament, out of which the first 4 matches will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Sri Lanka will host 9 matches including the final, after India’s refusal to come to Pakistan, the PCB had suggested hosting the Asia Cup at two locations so that India would play its matches at a neutral location.
It should be noted that if Pakistan does not participate in the Asia Cup, there is a possibility of the broadcasters being backed off because Pakistan and India.
Due to the matches, a lot of money was to be received. On the other hand, after the approval of the hybrid model of the Asia Cup, it is expected that Pakistan will go to India for the mega event, but it needs government permission.
