A detailed map or atlas of the human kidney has been created which will pave the way for new treatments and understanding of kidney diseases.
It has been named ‘Kidney Tissue Atlas’ which brings together images, data and comparisons of healthy and diseased kidneys.
With this hard work of many years, the condition of the kidney can be evaluated at the cellular, molecular and tissue level. Then it will also be possible.
These doctors and specialists will be able to get help in different levels of kidney diseases and their treatment. This entire project is named Kidney Precision Medicine Project.
Experts say that there are many kidney diseases and some are very complex. Due to lack of kidney samples, we lack models.
By looking at these models, we can not only understand diseases but also find treatment. This map contains complete maps of 51 cells associated with kidneys and 28 of them show no disease or negative status. For this, 45 are healthy and 4 are healthy. 8
