The Election Commission of Pakistan has instructed Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) to provide its response regarding the matter of intra-party elections by August 15.
During a hearing on the issue, PTI’s Chief Election Commissioner, Barrister Gauhar, appeared before the 5-member commission chaired by the Chief Election Commissioner. Barrister Gauhar requested additional time to submit the reply, citing an important case he had to attend at the Islamabad High Court. The Election Commission granted the extension and postponed the hearing of the PTI intra-party election case until August 15. Therefore, PTI has been directed to submit its response on intra-party elections by the specified date.
