On Tuesday, the value of the dollar in Karachi continued to rise, reaching Rs 288 in the interbank market and Rs 296 in the open market. The dollar’s value fluctuated throughout the day in the interbank market, initially falling to 287 rupees but later increasing to 287.98 rupees by noon.
In the open market, the dollar appreciated by one rupee, reaching 296 rupees. The previous day also saw a significant increase of three rupees, bringing the dollar’s value to 295 rupees.
Concurrently, the Pakistan Stock Exchange experienced a bearish trend, with the KSE 100 index dropping to 48,271 points, marking a decline of 114 points at the beginning of the trading session. The market saw further volatility, resulting in a temporary decrease of 501 points. However, by noon, the KSE 100 index settled at 47,954 points, reflecting a decline of 431 points compared to the previous day.
