Peshawar: Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has made the decision to dissolve the caretaker cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and he has requested the resignation of the ministers.
The Caretaker Information Minister has stated that 10 cabinet members have submitted their resignations to the Chief Minister. Other members of the government team are also expected to tender their resignations in the near future.
In a gathering, the Chief Minister hosted all ministers, advisers, and special assistants for a tea session during which he requested their resignations. While some members asked for time until the evening to consider the matter, a few others who were out of town promised to return soon and submit their resignations.
Reliable sources have indicated that Chief Minister Azam Khan will assemble a fresh team subsequent to the dissolution of the caretaker cabinet.
It’s worth noting that allegations were made that the caretaker cabinet was formed based on political affiliations. Earlier, caretaker ministers Shahid Khattak and Adnan Jalil had already been relieved of their duties from the cabinet.
