
Lahore: In a recent development, Hasan Khan Niazi, the nephew of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and a leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf, has been taken into custody in connection with a terrorism case.
The arrest of Hassan Niazi, who is also an advocate, has been confirmed by the legal counsel of Tehreek-e-Insaf’s chairman through a tweet. It was stated that both Hassan Niazi and Advocate Haider Majeed have been apprehended in relation to the Sarwar Road Police Station case.
Tehreek-e-Insaf’s attorney, Naeem Haider Panjuta, informed that both individuals will be presented before the anti-terrorism court later today.
Meanwhile, a separate incident saw lawyers sealing the doors of Lahore Sessions Court as a protest against a raid conducted at the residence of PTI lawyer Zubair Kisana. The legal representatives successfully blocked soldiers and policemen from entering the courts.
This demonstration by the lawyers involves the symbolic closing of the session court doors in protest of the recent events.
