The national cricket team is set to embark on their journey to Sri Lanka on August 22 for a series of three one-day international matches against Afghanistan. The departure is scheduled for 12 noon from Allama Iqbal Airport, as reported by Express News.
The squad in the training camp includes players like Rizwan, Shaheen, Haris, and Tayyab Tahir. Usama Mir and Shadab Khan will be joining the team from England. Captain Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Muhammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Haris, and Fakhar Zaman will link up with the team in Colombo after participating in the Lincoln Premier League.
The team will travel to Hambantota via Colombo, where the final phase of their training camp will commence on Friday. The upcoming series will feature two ODI matches between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Hambantota on August 22 and 24, followed by the third match hosted in Colombo on August 26.
It’s worth noting that both Pakistan and Afghanistan teams will arrive in Lahore on August 27 for the Asia Cup.
