Karachi: The Nepal Cricket Team has arrived in Pakistan to participate in the upcoming Asia Cup Cricket Tournament.
Upon their arrival in Karachi, the visiting team received a warm welcome. Subsequently, they were securely escorted to a local hotel. The Nepalese team is set to take a day of rest on Wednesday, followed by scheduled practice sessions at the national stadium for the subsequent two days.
Following a practice match at the Karachi Gymkhana Ground on Saturday, the Nepali team will depart for Multan on the following day, August 27. Notably, the Asia Cup’s inaugural match will take place between Nepal and Pakistan at the Multan Cricket Stadium on August 30. It is important to mention that Sandeep Lani, a Nepali cricketer facing a rape case, was unable to travel with the team due to ongoing legal proceedings in China.
As per the team management, if the legal matter is resolved, there remains the possibility for the cricketer to join the squad in Pakistan.
