Peshawar: The recent by-elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resulted in 40 independent candidates securing victory out of the 65 contested seats.
Across 21 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a total of 65 seats were subjected to by-elections on Sunday, with an outcome that saw 40 independent candidates emerging victorious.
Preliminary and unofficial results indicate that Tehreek-e-Insaf claimed 14 seats, establishing its lead over other political parties. Meanwhile, JUI secured 6 seats, Jamaat-e-Islami attained 5 seats, ANP captured 4 seats, and the People’s Party achieved 2 seats. Additionally, TLP secured one seat.
