In Islamabad, the former First Lady has taken her case to the Islamabad High Court regarding the leaked audio involving Chairman PTI’s wife, Bushra Bibi, and former Special Assistant Zulfi Bukhari.
Bushra Bibi has filed a petition against the police, FIA, and also included Pemra as a party in the case, as initiated by Sardar Latif Khosa.
In addition to Bushra Bibi’s plea, there is a reference to Justice Babar Sattar’s judgment in the Mian Najam-ul-Thaqeeb case.
The application argues that the recording of household phone conversations should be deemed unlawful and beyond the scope of authority. It further asserts that such recordings lack legal validity. Pending a final decision on this application, it calls for a halt to any actions or harassment carried out by the police and FIA based on fabricated and unsubstantiated audio material.
The petitioner maintains that baseless audio recordings, falsely attributed to Bushra Bibi, were broadcasted on various media outlets. This dissemination of alleged audio content associated with Bushra Bibi has impinged on her fundamental rights, as she is a woman of religious and veiled identity who is not involved in politics
