In Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi has designated Fawad Hasan Fawad as a Federal Minister in the Interim Federal Cabinet. This appointment was made in accordance with Article 224 (1a) of the Constitution, based on the counsel of Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar.
Fawad Hasan Fawad, a former Bureau Secretary, previously served as the Principal Secretary to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. It’s important to note that Fawad Hasan Fawad was apprehended by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a case related to discrepancies between his assets and income. However, it should be highlighted that NAB failed to establish corruption charges against him, resulting in his acquittal by the court in the NAB reference.
