In a historic development in Islamabad, the Supreme Court presided over the case concerning the Practice and Procedure Bill, marking the very first instance of live telecasting of court proceedings in the country.
During a comprehensive meeting involving the full court, a unanimous decision was reached to broadcast the court proceedings in real-time. To implement this decision, a total of five cameras were strategically installed in room number one. These cameras were strategically positioned, with four of them directed towards the bench, while the fifth one was focused on the rostrum. Notably, the courtroom was brimming with lawyers, with all available seats occupied.
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa took proactive steps to ensure the uninterrupted live coverage by establishing a committee tasked with managing any potential disruptions.
