Khadija Shah, a PTI activist, was arrested by Quetta police following the Punjab government’s revocation of her detention order. Quetta Police took her into custody and secured a two-day transit remand from the Anti-Terrorism Court.
The court directed Khadija Shah to be presented in the relevant court within two days. The Quetta police sought a three-day transit remand for interrogation, having obtained a warrant from the anti-terrorism court.
Earlier, the Punjab government rescinded Khadija Shah’s detention order, which was to be submitted in court by the public prosecutor. Notably, Khadija Shah’s husband, Jahanzeb Amin, has filed a petition in the High Court against her detention.
