The Lahore High Court has issued an order for the immediate release of children detained for underage driving, instructing that no criminal record be established for this offense.

During a recent hearing at the High Court, the Chief Traffic Officer Lahore and SPCRO were present, addressing a petition against documenting the criminal records of underage drivers.

The petitioner emphasized that the young offenders should not be held in custody. The court reiterated its previous directive for the SHO to secure bail for the children and release them. Additionally, the DIG provided updates on the children’s status during Monday’s appearance.

The court has postponed further proceedings on this case until the upcoming Monday.
