Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah in Islamabad has ruled for Imran Khan’s trial in the Nikah case to take place in jail. The District and Sessions Court heard the case regarding an alleged illegal marriage involving the former PTI Chairman and Bushra Bibi.
Bushra Bibi requested exemption from appearing in court due to her illness. The Adiala Jail Superintendent cited security concerns, expressing apologies for not being able to produce the ex-chairman PTI in court. They highlighted the potential risks to Imran Khan’s life and the security of the District Court complex if he were to appear, stating that it could compromise safety.
