
The upcoming 2024 general elections saw the rejection of nomination papers from 1024 National Assembly candidates, with 934 men and 90 women among them.
The Election Commission disclosed data revealing a total of 7,473 nominees for the National Assembly, consisting of 7,280 men and 445 women.
Among the approved candidates for the National Assembly, 6,449 made the cut, comprising 6,094 men and 355 women. For both National and Provincial Assembly general seats, 22,711 candidates had their nomination papers approved, while 3,240 were rejected.
