In an altercation at Punjab University’s new campus in Lahore, five individuals sustained injuries, while 24 others were apprehended during a clash involving student groups.
The incident unfolded outside Hostel No. 9 on the New Campus, where confrontations erupted in the canteen during the afternoon. The clash involved the use of firearms, sticks, and stones without discrimination.
Law enforcement reported the arrest of 27 students, with several others managing to flee the scene. A case has been filed under charges of terrorism and attempted murder. The police highlighted extensive damage to the canteen and university property resulting from the altercation.
