
In Karachi, the Sindh High Court has mandated the continuous provision of internet services to all citizens until the upcoming elections.
The court addressed a case regarding the recurring shutdowns and disturbances in internet services nationwide. The petitioner highlighted instances of internet suspensions on December 17th, January 7th, and January 20th, causing prolonged disruptions across the country. The petition emphasized the challenges faced by election candidates in conducting campaigns due to the unwarranted interruptions in internet services. Consequently, the court issued an order to ensure uninterrupted internet access for all citizens leading up to the elections.
