The interim government in Islamabad has announced a 10% fee reduction on imported goods involved in Afghan Transit Trade.
This waiver, effective from October 3 to November 16, encompasses the processing fee and eliminates the need for bank guarantees or cashable financial assurances equivalent to duties and taxes for containers arriving at Pakistani ports.
The Federal Board of Revenue issued notifications specifically targeting commercial items such as confectioneries, chocolates, shoes, electrical and mechanical machinery, blankets, home textile products, and garments.
