A case has been filed against the TLP leader for issuing threats to kill the Chief Justice.

Difficulty for the government on the proposed appointment of Faiz Isa as Chief Justice FCC

LAHORE: A case has been filed against the Naib Amir of TLP for issuing death threats to Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faiz Isa.

Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) Naib Ameer Pir Zaheerul Hasan Shah has been named in a case at the Qila Gujar Singh police station, following a complaint by SHO Hammad Hussain.

The charges include provisions from the Anti-Terrorism Act, promoting religious hatred, sedition, pressuring the judiciary, intimidating the higher judiciary, interfering with government operations, and obstructing statutory duties.

The FIR states that Pir Zaheerul Hasan incited hatred against the Supreme Judiciary by protesting outside the Press Club.

Additionally, a case has been registered against 1500 workers, including the TLP vice-chairman.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif announced that strict action will be taken against threats to the Chief Justice, stating that the state will not tolerate fatwas calling for his killing.
