In response to petitions challenging the imprisonment trial of Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a new High Court bench has been formed.
The Islamabad High Court’s 2-member bench, consisting of Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri, is set to hear the case on Monday, January 22.
This development comes as per the duty roster, which indicates that Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb will be on leave next week. Consequently, the bench was reshuffled. Previously, Justice Mian Gul Hasan had mentioned that the upcoming hearing would take place before the available bench. Notices have already been issued to the concerned parties by a two-member bench, including Justice Mian Gul Hasan and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, during the previous session.
