In Moscow, a Russian individual was recently apprehended for his involvement in the theft of 53 brand new iPhones during his initial day working at an electronics store.
The Russian Interior Ministry has released a brief video clip showcasing the suspect engaged in cleaning duties at an electronics store in Moscow. In the video, he can be seen stuffing numerous iPhones into a small suitcase and several bags. Strikingly, the 44-year-old man, whose identity remains undisclosed, displayed a lack of concern regarding the surveillance cameras. Even after making an unsuccessful attempt to obscure his face, he proceeded with his actions.
Following his theft of 53 new iPhones and 53,000 rubles (equivalent to $570) from the store, the individual casually exited through the front door. What makes this incident even more astonishing is that it was his very first day on the job as a sales manager at the electronics store.
According to police sources cited by a Russian news agency, the 44-year-old man had employed counterfeit documents to secure employment as a sales manager at the electronics store. On his very first day, he obtained a set of keys to the store, entered the premises, and made off with the 53 new iPhones and all the money present in the cash register, subsequently transporting these items to his residence in a different city, Sevastopol.
