
An incident has been reported in Islamabad where a case has been filed against former senator Mushtaq Ahmed and the event organizers for conducting a sit-in at D Chowk in support of Gaza.
As per News, the sit-in organized by the Gaza Rescue Campaign prompted the registration of the case due to alleged violation of Article 144.
The FIR details that participants used loudspeakers to chant slogans against government institutions, with threats of besieging key offices in the Secretariat and warnings of dire consequences for anyone attempting to intervene. It is reported that more than 300 individuals, armed with batons, advanced towards D Chowk, with claims of police intimidation and stone-throwing. Additionally, the protestors allegedly pushed back law enforcement personnel, including a female constable.
