In Rawalpindi, a tragic incident occurred where a Pakistani soldier lost his life during an attack on a convoy of Pakistani peacekeepers stationed in the disputed region of Sudan.
The Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department (ISPR) reported that the convoy, transporting two local patients to the hospital, was ambushed by terrorists who opened fire.
The Pakistani security forces swiftly retaliated, successfully repelling the attackers and compelling them to retreat. However, in the crossfire, Sepoy Muhammad Tariq lost his life, and two officers, along with two others, sustained injuries.
The ISPR highlighted the consistent professionalism and dedication of Pakistan’s peacekeeping forces, emphasizing that 181 Pakistani peacekeepers have sacrificed their lives for global peace.
