
In Islamabad, Lahore Police has filed a case against 38 members and leaders of the PTI for their involvement in arson and vandalism on Mall Road.
Reportedly, a case has been lodged against PTI leaders and members at the Anarkali police station, including charges such as terrorism, abduction, government interference, and harassment, in connection with the Mall Road protest. Among those named in the FIR are 38 individuals, including PT leader Hafiz Farhat Abbas, Fauzia, Hadira, and Hamida Bibi.
The FIR details how during the protest, Hafiz Farhat Abbas allegedly incited the workers to damage government property and set fires, with PTI workers also causing harm to government vehicles. It is alleged that Hafiz Farhat Abbas, accompanied by several unidentified individuals, fired shots during the protest, resulting in damage to an official vehicle. Furthermore, it is claimed that Hafiz Farhat Abbas and his associates attempted to abduct a constable at Istanbul Square, but were eventually subdued by the police. Subsequent searches led to the recovery of a pistol from Hafiz Farhat Abbas, along with batons and clubs from the other 42 individuals arrested.
