A two-member committee has been established to broadcast live coverage of the Supreme Court’s proceedings.

In Islamabad, Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa has established a committee comprised of two judges to address the matter of live broadcasting of Supreme Court proceedings.

According to insider information, the Chief Justice has constituted a two-member panel consisting of Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minullah. This committee has been tasked with preparing a report outlining the procedure for broadcasting court proceedings live.

Sources indicate that the judges’ committee has been given a one-week timeframe to complete this task. The committee will present its findings during the upcoming Judges Full Court meeting.

It’s noteworthy that, for the first time in Pakistan’s history, the entire proceedings of the Practice and Procedure Act in the Supreme Court were broadcast live on government television, covering the proceedings from morning to evening.
