The Supreme Court of Pakistan, while dismissing the curative review petition against Justice Qazi Faiz Isa on the grounds of withdrawal, said in a written judgment that there is no scope for curative review in the jurisprudence of Pakistan.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bandial issued a written order stating that curative review against Justice Qazi Faiz Isa is dismissed on the basis of withdrawal.
It should be noted that PTI had sent a presidential reference to remove Justice Qazi Faiz Isa as a Supreme Court judge.
had filed a revision appeal to send the matter to the FBR for investigation, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa had argued in the revision case as a party, after the presidential reference was dismissed. PTI had filed a curative review in the Supreme Court.
After which the Registrar Supreme Court raised objections to the curative review and against the objections of the Registrar Supreme Court an appeal was filed during the PTI regime and the current government approached the Supreme Court to withdraw the curative review.
After several months on the petition to withdraw the Curio Rio, the decision has now been issued. According to the written judgment of the Supreme Court on the review petition of Justice Qazi Faiz Isa 6:
