The Peshawar High Court has issued a written order concerning a petition regarding the potential arrest of Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister-designate for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In the order, it was mentioned that the petitioner’s counsel asserted that the Punjab Elite Force was tailing Ali Amin Gandapur with intentions to arrest him and the party’s nominee for the chief minister position in the petitioner’s province.
The court directed that Ali Amin Gandapur should not be arrested in the specified cases until the next hearing. It questioned the legal basis for Punjab Police to make arrests within the jurisdiction of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Furthermore, the written order stated that the Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa must provide a response on this matter. A preliminary notice has been issued to all concerned parties for March 19th.
