In Karachi, former MQM leaders Anees Advocate and Raza Haroon, along with their colleagues, officially joined the People’s Party after meeting with co-chairman PPP Asif Zardari. Asif Zardari warmly welcomed their decision to join the party, emphasizing the significance of the Charter of Karachi in fostering development, peace, and prosperity in the city.

During their discussions, President Zardari highlighted the profound impact the Karachi PPP Charter would have on the city’s future. He reiterated the PPP’s commitment to Karachi, considering it the party of the people in their joint efforts to reclaim the city’s vibrancy from those who propagate discord and hostility.

Zardari expressed optimism about the PPP gaining federal power with the support of Karachi residents, believing it would mark a historic moment where the elected representatives of Karachi would steer the country. He drew parallels between Karachi’s potential and that of Dubai, aspiring for global investments to transform Karachi into an economic powerhouse, leveraging its strategic geographical position to benefit international investors.

Furthermore, Zardari referenced Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s 10-point agenda, assuring that upon assuming power, the PPP would implement welfare projects across cities, including Karachi, to alleviate the challenges of severe inflation, thereby providing relief to the common citizens.
