US National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan has categorically dismissed the Indian claims suggesting a rift between the USA and Canada. He has affirmed unwavering support for Canada, emphasizing that the United States stands firmly alongside its northern neighbor and is diligently monitoring the ongoing investigation regarding Canadian concerns.
Concurrently, the National Council of Canadian Muslims, in collaboration with members of the World Sikh Organization of Canada, has articulated four specific demands directed at the Canadian government in response to recent acts of terrorism originating from India.
The initial demand urges an immediate recall of Canada’s ambassador to India. The second stipulates the expulsion of the Indian ambassador to Canada, High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma.
The third requirement is a formal suspension of trade relations between India and Canada, encompassing an instant cessation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Furthermore, it calls for the removal of Indian operatives from Canadian soil, in accordance with applicable laws.
