In Quetta, American Ambassador Donald Bloom underscored the enduring and robust partnership between the people of Balochistan and the United States during his recent visit to Gwadar, Balochistan. The visit primarily focused on exploring opportunities for development, trade, and commercial relations.

During his trip, Ambassador Bloom engaged in constructive dialogues with political leaders, representatives from the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as various government and private sector figures. In discussions with political leaders, he reaffirmed the U.S.’s commitment to supporting Balochistan’s growth in terms of economic development, disaster relief, security, and trade and investment cooperation with the United States.

Ambassador Donald Bloom concentrated on factors conducive to promoting American trade and investment while meeting with members of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Moreover, Ambassador Bloom delved into discussions concerning the Pak-US Green Alliance Framework with government and business leaders. This framework aims to address shared environmental, energy, water, and economic challenges jointly.

Ambassador Donald Bloom emphasized the U.S.’s comprehensive support for Pakistan, particularly Balochistan, in enhancing environmental resilience, fostering alternative energy solutions, and advancing economic development for all.

Ambassador Bloom also visited Gwadar Port and engaged with Port Authority Chairman Pansad Khan Bilidi to explore the port’s operational status, development prospects, Gwadar’s potential as a regional trade hub, and its potential linkage to the United States, Pakistan’s largest export market.

Lastly, during meetings with Pakistan Navy’s Western Command, Ambassador Donald Bloom discussed regional matters and stressed the importance of sustaining the partnership in the years ahead.
