An order from the Election Commission has been issued to delay the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In Islamabad, the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been postponed as per an order issued by the Election Commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and comprising a five-member panel.

The postponement comes in light of the newly elected members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly not yet being sworn in. Utilizing its authority under Article 218 (3) of the Constitution and the Election Act, the Election Commission has made the decision to postpone the elections.
