Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the match officials for Champions ODI Cup.
A statement issued by the board said that former ICC elite panelist umpire Aleem Dar and international panel umpire Asif Yaqoob will officiate the opening match between Wolves and Panthers in the Champions ODI Cup on September 12. .
Former Test cricketer Ali Naqvi will lead the playing control team, with Waleed Yaqoob and Zulfiqar John as the third and fourth umpires.
Aleem Dar, Asif Yaqoob, Waleed Yaqoob and Zulfiqar John are among the panel of nine umpires who will officiate in the Champions ODI Cup tournament among the country’s best players.
The other five umpires include Faisal Afridi, Imtiaz Iqbal, Imran Javed, Nasir Hussain and Rashid Riaz.
Apart from Ali Naqvi, the responsibilities of the match referees will be between Bilal Khalji, Iftikhar Ahmed, Iqbal Sheikh, Nadeem Arshad and Kamran Chaudhry.
The appointment of umpire and match referee for the three play-offs and the final will be announced later.
