Army Chief General Asim Munir has announced to celebrate Pakistan Martyrs Day on May 25.
According to the Public Relations Department of Pakistan Army ISPR, a distribution ceremony was held in honor of martyrs and veterans at General Headquarters Rawalpindi.
In the ceremony, the Army Chief honored the officers and soldiers for their outstanding services during the operations.
According to ISPR, 51 officers were awarded Satara Imtiaz (Military), 22 officers and jawans were awarded Basalat Medal, while two jawans were awarded with special medals of the United Nations.
Senior officers of Pakistan Army and families of martyrs participated in the ceremony. Speaking on this occasion, the Army Chief said that we are living in a free atmosphere due to the duty and great sacrifices of the martyrs.
The army chief said that the sacrifices of the martyrs and the services of the Ghazis are our valuable assets and capital of pride.
He said that Pakistan Army as an institution always remembers each of its personnel and their families. Our relationship as a family is proud and exemplary. According to ISPR, on this occasion, the Army Chief announced to celebrate Pakistan Martyrs Day on May 25.
