Arrest of Baloch protestors: Report sought from IG Islamabad in half an hour.

Parliament has ended corruption cases, when consciousness comes, it will be too late, Islamabad High Court

In response to a petition challenging the detention of Baloch protesters, the Islamabad High Court has requested a report from the IG Islamabad within 30 minutes.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq presided over the case involving Baloch organizers, expressing disappointment at the presence of a lower-ranking police officer.

Attaullah Kandi, the lawyer and petitioner, revealed that the SP advised their legal team to return the individuals to Balochistan, citing the Prime Minister’s directive. The SSP mentioned a three-hour discussion about the matter. However, police allegedly forced women and some students onto buses in Islamabad. Subsequently, female students from Islamabad were released, and bus drivers refused to cooperate.

The petitioner’s counsel claimed that when the IG arrived at the police station, there was a push to relocate the individuals. Eventually, the police closed the station doors, and a statement was issued at 5 AM stating their safe transfer.

During the court proceedings, the police inspector represented the force. The High Court then questioned whether the IG or Secretary Interior should be summoned to disclose the whereabouts of the detained individuals. The court demanded a report from the police within 30 minutes.
